Question about working for the Red Cross?
The Truth ABout--- Eveangli (Rose Cover)

I am a nursing student in Indiana and I've always had a passion for traveling, especially in Africa. For over a year now I've been interested in doing Red Cross work after I graduate. Is it all volunteer? Are nurses paid well? How does the Peace Corp work?

Red Cross employees are paid. Peace Corps pays a stipend.

How to make a formal complaint about an instructor at Red Cross?

I'm taking a CNA course through Red Cross, and it's been hell. The teachers have been very rude in their behavior, and just three days ago did something that many would have called the police for. I won't go into details, but it is that bad. I've never made a complaint against anyone, so I need help. Should I complaint over the phone or go to their campus and talk to someone in charge in person? Any other suggestions are welcome.

Without details, it is difficult to give you specific advice. I can tell you, however, that the general pattern of behavior of instructors' supervisors is always to ask someone who complains, "Did you discuss this matter with the instructor personally?" You may be in a situation where such a conversation was not possible, but you will need to consider that choice first, because the supervisor usually will not pay much attention unless you have made a serious effort to resolve the problem between yourself and the instructor. Your question, however, was whether to talk on the phone or go in person, and the answer is that you should go in person and take with you as much physical evidence as possible. The supervisor will want to know exactly what happened, who did what, to whom, and when. So write these matters down and be prepared to sign the document, as it provides the supervisor not only with details but also something he/she can show the instructor. (Signed documents also help personnel offices handle replacement of teachers, if necessary, or defending themselves against lawsuits.)

all kinds of questions about the national guard and red cross?

when you first join the a.n.g how long is your training? how old do you have to be to join either of them? what is the difference? do you have to have a high school degree to join either of them? what is the a.n.g? what is the red cross?

BCT is 9 weeks. AIT depends on the MOS you choose

You can be 17 if your parents sign for you. If they don't sign you have to be 18

You have to have either a HS diploma or a GED

The National Guard is basically the Army reserves also you would go to natural disasters like hurricanes and tornado's and stuff

I don't know anything about the Red Cross

Is what I hear about the Red Cross hiring people to go to Haiti true?

I have a friend that told me that the Red Cross was paying people 3000 a month to go to Haiti to help in the relief operation. I would love to go as a volunteer, but I can't afford to... so does anyone know if this is a real deal or if it's simply a lie/myth?

Not true. First Red Cross is only volunteer. Second, they are only sending people to Haiti that are doctors, nurses, engineers or already trained by the Red Cross in disaster relief.

And really $3000 a month? That's hardly a volunteer, that's a good income,

How would I go about getting a job working for the American Red Cross (no volunteer wk)& who would I contact?

Seeking a paid position working w/ the Red Cross in the Detroit Metro Area.2 yrs college completed & returning to complete this winter.

they are all there.
