Any doll will work. I used my Cabbage Patch Kid when I went though the training.
The Heart of Tennessee Chapter of the American Red Cross hosted a babysitter training course for students ages 11 to 15. A certified instructor ...
Well it is for ages 11-15 and i wonder if i should take that training course or keep looking you know,i have a whole lot of toddlers and infant's in my family and i am responsible i never take an eye off of them, should i take the red cross baby sitting course or just keep looking?
P.S. I never take not even one eye of of them.
I would!! The red cross has a lot to offer. It is a 6 hour course and it teaches you everything you have to know!! CPR- for children AND babies, age appropriate toys, how to start a business..and more! Plus it would look GREAT on a resume, if you ever want to get into the childcare business(because EVERYONE likes the red cross)
Ok.

We Will Also Cook For The Children If We Must.
I'm Talking Breakfast,Lunch,Or Dinner.
My Friend's Mom Owns A Little Cafe.
She Will Teach Us Some Simple Things About Cooking.
My Mom Is Going To Take Us To The American Red Cross To Get Our Certification In Baby-Sitting And Cpr/First-Aid.
I Need To Know How To Go About Advertising.
What We Should Charge For Housework And Sitting(We Will Be Working Together So...)
How We Should Entertain The Children.
And Kind Of A Basic Schedule For Your Children And How We Should Schedule The Ones We Sit(Such As Nap Time,Etc.)

You coming to Northern California any time soon lol...I would say it sounds like you girls have a good head on your shoulder, I would put something in your local newspaper in advertisements. Good luck to you both!
I've gotten an American Red Cross card. Any tips for handling kids?
I babysit 5 children in my home and worked in childcare before that. The children in my home range from 3 months old to almost 3 yrs old.
My best advice that I cannot stress enough is ROUTINE, ROUTINE, ROUTINE...and when the kids are napping, CLEAN, and prepare future activities!
Routine can be hard to establish at first, but once you have it down, the kids are better for it and you can better keep your sanity. Otherwise it will seem like complete chaos!
Always have activities prepared in advance, and make SMOOTH transitions to nap time and other activities. Children love routine because it teaches them to know what comes next, and it makes their day smoother and they are happier! By smooth transitions, try songs they love or a clean up ritual they find fun...singing and praising goes a LONG way! and HAVE FUN be SUPER SILLY!
Hello, I am a 12 year old safety conscious, responsible, organized, mature baby sitter. I have over 2 years of babysitting neighbors children, 4&3 year old cousins, and also my baby brother who I have baby sat everyday since he was born for the past 2 years. I took an 8 hour long Baby Sitting Course at American Red Cross to learn CPR, and much more. I have also spent hours researching babysitting information and tips. I live in California and would charge $5 dollars per hour and an additional charge of $1, each additional child.
I'm not your average, immature 12 year old. Do you think I could get hired around my neighborhood?
Most mothers might say no, but I would at least give you a chance. I remember being 12 and taking the babysitting courses and CPR certifications. At 12 you are a bit young to do this on your own. What you should do is speak with your mom and family, and get babysitting jobs that way. And if you hear of mothers worrying about your age, try this trick: give them a free three hour session to get to know you! It also lets you get to know the parents and kids to see if you even want to keep watching them. It gets your foot in the door on both sides, and hopefully once the mother sees that you are responsible and caring, they might be able to look past your age!
Good luck!
