My friend and I took a babysitting course at the american red cross and both passed and got certificates along with a first aide kit. Would you hire us or do you think we are too young. We are both very responsible but please be completely honest.
Absolutely. It would have to be someone I knew from the neighborhood, church, or y kids older sister or something. or even if a friend encouraged hiring you. Great job for completing the red cross course! If you go to church, put an add in the church bulletin, or volunteer in the nursery. Even put up posters at a local elementary school.
I am certified specifically in the Babysittign department of the American Red Cross course and I just want to be able to provide a fair amount to me and my employer. I am told I will be watching a 13 month old for 8 hours during the day. Does any babysitter or parent have any advice for how much I should charge; I want to be fair, but 8 hours during the day with a 13 month old and my certification should mean something, right?
You should charge at least 7dlls an hour.
It would be around 60 dlls a day... i think its fair, but it depends on your employer. If they are affluent you can charge more. Ask them.
I'm applying for a babysitter position and a couple yrs ago I took the American Red Cross course in babysitting. I recieved a card saying I am certified and took the course.
I lost the card a while ago and I need it again!
Is there a way I can get a new card?
Only answer if you really actually know please.
HI KBEE,IF YOU CAN REMEMBER THE LOCATION YOU TOOK IT AT THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO ISSUE YOU ANOTHER CARD JUST AS LONG AS THEY CAN FIND YOURE PAPER WORK AND APPL. FORM YOU FILED WITH, BUT THERE MAY BE A FEE TO PAY FOR LOST OR STOLEN CARD , TRY TO CALL FIRST,GOOD LUCK..
I'm proud to announce my daughter just finished an American Red Cross Babysitter Training Course! she's 11 & I'm proud. I think it's a big deal. It's good to have those skills including 1st aid. What do you think?
I'm proud that you were thoughtful enough to put her in the Red Cross training. My daughter also took it and it a great sitter. Be sure to tell all her prospective employers that she has this training. I think it makes her worth a little more as a sitter.
