Do you know the history of the history of the many geometric symbols found on most flags?

Almost anything you can name, can be documented all long before relatively modern times - including the pentagon, star of david, crecent moon, eagles to egrets and the swastika. the truth is most were commonplace amongs scocerers and magicians, mostly. flim flam men and healers such. Especial the cross and so much more. Nothing new under the sun but knock offs, actually. Few exceptions. American natives, chinese, jews, nazis and the rising sun. simple easy to easily reproduce symbols to different various movements and relgions and armies. even the jolly roger. The Bolshevicks were hurried and just used a solid red flag for many years. Interesting graphics but kept very simplistic. Note the similaries of the star of david and the swastika. drums and flags and great passion needed to rally for battle helps. Helps work up a manic frenzy going tinto battle. the swastike is found through out ancient muslim mosques and egyptian buildings. nothing new here. crusaders keep it most simple ith the cross. interest to me, anyway. shows it was usually chaotric and agitated tribes needed symbols to attain identification and who was to attack whom. strong drink, bold talk and loud drums help them work themselves into a frenzy and rush forward to slash each other to bits. then whomever left with the most men standing, if any, called it a victory and claimed their booty.

Today it is som much more compled. the object is to skip the battle ad blood and makoff with the treasury. How cleaver, those banksters are best at that. the ends are the same. Makoff with the wealth, forget the obsolete junk. it is about gold and other fine bits of loot. But you need proper leaders and a good scheme. The mortgage certificates and worthless paper make its way in great worthlesss bundles of papers called stock certificates an fools bought into the scam.

Although this was a test in patience to read, I have to say your analysis in the final paragraph probably nailed it. I agree that those who have pilfered away our money, retirement savings, jobs, homes and many, many small businesses and taken jobs to foreign countries are the schemers. I think we haven't yet seen bottom, and I wonder how our new President will be able to save middle-class America. I know that some of the loot ended up in Paraguay, where Bush bought a massive ranch and Cheney's vacation house in Dubai. And, the rich get richer!

What you have to remember about the ivy league is that they get thousands of applications that look just like yours, good test scores high GPA, and long lists of ec's and awards. So do you have a chance? yes but are you a guaranteed in? no. Almost every prestigious school is a toss up in terms of admissions. If you want to better your chances, the easiest way is to raise your ACT score to a 34 or higher and aim for 2200+ on the SAT, also for subject tests 700+ is best. If you do get higher test scores and maybe raise your GPA a bit your impressive ec's might be enough to push your app into the accepted pile.
