I am six months pregnant and my husband is in the military at AIT. I have developed depression and can't do anything w/o him and I feel like I am hurting my unborn baby. If I go to my ob/gyn and tell him my sysmtoms can he call the American Red Cross and get my husband home for good. With an honordischarge?
If he is only in AIT, then this is a decision that was made after you were pregnant. Not fair to change the rules midstream. You have made your decision, and for your husbands sake do not press the issue as you will kill his ability to get promotions or provide a better life for you. He is sucking it up and living through very difficult times. It is your turn to show how you do the same. Honor him as he is honoring you.
This video shows how the British Red Cross provides help for people in crisis, whoever and whereever they are.
My husband and I are expecting a baby in Jan. and it is a high risk pregnancy we already were told from History. If it turns out to be an emergency has anyone ever had to call Red Cross to have a Soldier home fast? If so how hard was it to do and how quick was it?
If your husband is out at sea or in Iraq, the red cross will have to locate and contact your husband's command first, and than his command will fly him back asap, due to some circumstances it might be delay, but none the less they will do the best to get him home asap.

I am now doing my Bronze Med and Bronze Cross in Canada...working to get my NLS to work in a camp in Ontario.
But I may not have time to finish the NLS before I go home to the US...if I did the American Red Cross lifesaving course would they be equivalents?
Yes generally it is.
I would double check with the camp.
victims as they used for Haiti's earthquake victims? I want to donate to Chile's earth quake victims but I question the ARC's use of this text: "Chile" 90999. It's the same as "Haiti" 90999.
Edit:
Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon are all waiving fees and charges for users who want to reach out to victims of the massive earthquake that hit Chile last week. The massively successful text-to-donate campaign during the Haiti disaster has is also back in full swing.
The Red Cross made huge waves with its text-to-donate initiative after the massive earthquake in Haiti. By sending a text message to a special Red Cross number, users could send a $10 donation, which was simply tacked on their monthly phone bill. More than $25 million was raised from text donations.
Chile now faces its own devastation after a magnitude-8.8 quake ripped through the country last week. The death toll currently stands at 711, while over a million homes have been destroyed. To do their part in helping with relief efforts, mobile phone companies have made it easier to provide aid.
Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile have all announced that they will waive the standard texting charge for any text message donation. Verizon and T-Mobile have both gone a step further, eliminating all charges for calls between the US and Chile.
"We want to help alleviate some of the agony being experienced by our customers trying to reach loved ones in Chile," said Verizon VP Susan Retta. "Waiving the calling charges will help our customers focus on tracking down and keeping in touch with their family and friends without having to also worry about the cost of the call."
Users can send texts to the following numbers to donate to Chile earthquake relief efforts:
- Text "Chile" to 90999 to send $10 to the American Red Cross
- Text "Chile" to 52000 to send $10 to the Salvation Army
- Text "Chile" to 25383 to send $10 to Habitat For Humanity
- Text "Chile" to 20222 to send $10 to Wold Vision
- Text "Rebuild" to 50555 to send $10 to Operation USA
- Text "Youth" to 20222 to send $10 to UNICEF
Because it doesnt matter what the number is as long as they are set up to receive funds from that number.
The premium text numbers are often the same... there are a handful of different ones. Each charity is set up under the umbrella text number, so what you include in the text determines where the fund goes... thats why you actually have to text the word chilie or haiti or whatever it is for whatever you are doing.
If the same charity is doing the donation, then typing the word is the equivalent of writing in the memo line of a check. If you write them a check you wright it to ARC, and then if you want it to go to certain thing within arc, you write it in the memo line. Same thing with the text. So, you dial the same number for the same org, but text a different word to designate your donation.

American Red Cross Responds Internationally And At Home To Chile Quake
The American Red Cross is responding to the strong 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile, making $50,000 available for relief operations in Chile while also helping people in Hawaii prepare for a possible tsunami.
The Red Cross regional disaster management center in Panama is in contact with Red Cross staff and volunteers on the ground to monitor the situation and further assess needs. Regional Red Cross disaster experts from Latin America are also en route to Chile to support the response. Meanwhile, the American Red Cross is coordinating with the state of Hawaii and the federal government to ensure an appropriate response to the impending tsunami that is expected to strike Hawaii later in the day Saturday. The local Red Cross chapter is readying volunteers and supplies in Hawaii to support any response that may be needed. “Our hearts go out to the people of Chile as they struggle to deal with the immediate aftermath of this earthquake and the many aftershocks that are continuing,”...
