In Canada, the Canadian Red Cross offers its swimming, lifesaving, and water safety programs through the Lifesaving Society of Canada. This means that if you are certified with the Lifesaving Society, you are also certified with the Canadian Red Cross.
So if you made it through Aquaquest, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, and NLS, then you have already taken Canadian Red Cross courses through the Lifesaving Society.
Your local community centre should offer these programs. You can also click here:
http://www.lifesavingsociety.com/default .asp?PageId=3
Then click on "Instructing/Coaching/Examining"
Next, select your course type, course start date and region
Then click "submit," and you will get a bunch of nearby locations where you can take the required course; in this case, the Lifesaving Instructor course.
